posted on 09/24/2009
Every wonder where the biggest bottle of Scotch Malt Whiskey in the world calls home? Well it's at the Clockhouse Restaurant in Tomintoul, Scotland. The bottle holds 105.3 litres of Tomintoul Single Malt Whiskey and it's 14 years old. IT was made in Germany and found its way to Tomintoul in August 2009. Authenticated and verfied by a team of experts, the cock was hammered in and the bottle transferred via a special crate to a special shelf at the one and only Clockhouse Restaurant, where owner Dru McPherson proudly has it on display. To make it totally official, the verification was accepted and entered into the Guiness Book of records as "the World's Largest Bottle of Scotch Whisky".
